St Lucia Yoga Retreat

March 2-9, 2024
Our home for 7 days will be a 70-acre organic fruit farm that began as a rum and sugar plantation in colonial 18th-century St Lucia. The property is shaded by ancient trees and surrounded by flower gardens, fruit orchards, lily ponds and nature trails. Several secluded beaches are within walking distance. Excursions are included in the retreat package and include exploring the island’s abundant natural attractions which feature hot springs, rain forests, mountains and, of course, the sea.

Accommodations include open-air 1-, 2- or 3-bedroom cottages with historic and artistic details. Amenities include verandas, kitchens or kitchenettes, solar-heated showers, mosquito netting for beds. Cottage allocations are first come, first served.

One of the things I don’t like about vacations is that I miss my yoga class. This vacation we got to bring our yoga class with us. In all ways, this was the best vacation for anyone who wants to relax, be physical, and eat delicious healthy food with friends. The yoga classes were fantastic and in the most beautiful setting imaginable. The retreat center was hospitable and clean. We loved our beach-front cabana with the ocean breeze gently moving through the room. The swimming, boating and snorkeling were just amazing. We can’t wait to sign up for next year’s trip.

This retreat was everything I had hoped it would be. I felt unplugged, relaxed, and well nourished by the healthy delicious food, the lovely kind people, and the daily yoga. Before the trip, I wondered if there might be anything I needed there, that was not provided, and soon found that I was provided with everything I could possibly need. The accomodations were lovely, clean and comfortable. The yoga classes were offered twice daily, and were in a stunning large covered palapa out over the water. The food was varied and available almost all day and evening. The resort owners were happy to talk about anything at any time, and were a rich source of current information and local history. The weather was fabulous with hot sunny days with constant ocean cooling breezes. The evenings were cooler and very comfortable for sleeping. This was an amazing retreat. I am so glad I went.
